The Premier League has unveiled the full 2026/27 fixture schedule, with defending champions Arsenal set to open their title defence on Saturday, August 22, as newly promoted Coventry City, Ipswich Town and Hull City return to the top flight.

The announcement comes 345 days before the season begins. The later start date, one week after the usual schedule, gives players recovery time following the expanded 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America.

The campaign will run until Sunday, May 30, 2027, with all 10 final-day matches kicking off simultaneously. The calendar includes 33 weekend rounds, five midweek slots, and a longer autumn international break.

Coventry City return as Championship champions under Frank Lampard, being their first Premier League season since 2000/01. Ipswich Town make an immediate comeback after relegation, while Hull City earned promotion via the play-offs with a 1-0 Wembley victory over Middlesbrough.

These three sides replace the teams relegated from the 2025/26 season. Arsenal, who ended their long title drought last season, will begin their campaign against one of the promoted teams, setting an early test for Mikel Arteta’s squad.

The fixture release comes amid significant transitions across the league. Manchester City are entering a post-Pep Guardiola era, Liverpool are under new manager Andoni Iraola, and both Chelsea (Xabi Alonso) and Manchester United (Michael Carrick) are aiming to challenge at the top.

Fantasy Premier League managers now have access to Fixture Difficulty Ratings to plan their squads, while clubs continue summer transfer activity ahead of the window closing on September 1.
