BBNaija Season 11 Launches with Record Prize

Big Brother Naija Season 11, themed “Show Ya Sef,” officially launched on Sunday night as 24 housemates entered the house to compete for a record ₦160 million prize package.

The high-energy live launch show, hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu for his tenth consecutive season, aired on Africa Magic Showcase and Africa Magic Family. At approximately 9:17 p.m. WAT, the official @BBNaija account shared a group photograph of the contestants with the caption announcing their arrival and urging them to “Show Ya Sef.” The post, which tagged sponsor betPawa Nigeria, quickly became one of the evening’s most engaged updates.

The season, which began on 26 July 2026, offers the largest prize in the franchise’s history: ₦100 million in cash plus a brand-new SUV. Organisers have framed the theme as a call for authenticity, strategy and unfiltered personality over the course of the 72-day competition. Live performances by Falz and Ycee preceded the individual introductions of the housemates, who were briefly interviewed before entering the redesigned house.

Viewers can follow the 24-hour live feeds on DStv Channel 198 and GOtv Channel 49, as well as through the DStv and GOtv Stream apps. The 24 contestants – 12 men and 12 women drawn from across Nigeria and the diaspora – bring a wide range of professions and backgrounds. They include Lagos-based streamer and entrepreneur Tram (Joshua Alekewumu), London-raised student Temi Nkem (Temitope Chigbue), visual storyteller Martins, model and chef Abi (Abisola Ayoola), pharmacist and actor Chimsom Chuka, web developer Keivo (Victor Ikpe), massage therapist Mercedes (Ijeoma Emi), event planner Kamsy (Kamsy Uzoma), dancer Sultex, web developer Aikou, make-up artist Flora, salesperson Bells (Isabella Imoh), on-air personality Gerard, model Oyin, broadcaster Sheba (Faith Gamde), fashion model Araga, writer and filmmaker Ricky, fashion designer Nomy, civil engineer Barry, lawyer Neche, actor Yusuf, musician Goddessa, photographer Bluethopia, and forex trader Cassi.

Shortly after entry, the housemates were divided into male and female teams for their first wager task under the weekly theme “Allow Me To Introduce Myself.” The debate topic was “Nature versus Nurture: What Makes You Who You Are?”

Season 11 follows the October 2025 finale of Season 10, won by Opeyemi Ayanwale (Imisi). Physical auditions took place in May 2026 in Lagos, Abuja and Enugu. Production officials have highlighted a redesigned house featuring bold colours, advanced camera technology and an emphasis on high-stakes gameplay.

Early social media reaction focused on several personalities, including Sheba, Temi Nkem and Tram. The competition is expected to run for approximately 10 weeks, with weekly eviction shows on Sundays. Viewers can vote via the MyDStv and MyGOtv apps.

Big Brother Naija Season 11 is produced by MultiChoice and airs exclusively on DStv and GOtv platforms across Africa.
