Timothée Chalamet Beats DiCaprio to Golden Globes Glory

Timothée Chalamet scored his first Golden Globe win at the 83rd Annual Awards, taking home Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for his role in the quirky table tennis caper Marty Supreme.

The 30-year-old actor triumphed over Hollywood heavyweights Leonardo DiCaprio and George Clooney, calling the moment “sweet” in his acceptance speech: “My dad instilled in me a spirit of gratitude… I’d be lying if I didn’t say those moments make this moment that much sweeter.” He thanked his parents and partner Kylie Jenner, noting this was his first Globe after five nominations. The victory adds momentum to his Oscar campaign after a strong awards season run.
